Sept. 3: Musical chairs

Say hello to the class of Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009! Bravo, pups! Very good posing today, all-round.

Unfortunately we are missing a few faces in this photo, as it was taken earlier this morning (as of 1:20 p.m. there are 20 dogs here), but you can see how good they are getting at "sit" and "stay." :-)

Yes, two Maximus's today!

Well... LG (Yorkie-cross) was being Mr. Bossy when he arrived this morning, trying to assert his authority among the other dogs. He's calmed down now though and has been playing with Spike, Jasper and Casper and Heidi. This pack has been zooming around... the best of friends.

So the morning walks are done, lunches are fed, and the sun is peaking through the clouds. This is just a few of the adventures we've had so far today:

* Little Chloe (maltipoo) just arrived and started playing with Dawson (chi) straight away. The two of them are pictured left. Chloe seems to like the really little pups - she's also getting along fang-tabulously with Mika (chi), Lexy (chi-cross) and Theodore (Yorkie).

* Maggie (Cairns Terrier, pictured right with her paw planted on the ball) has been wrestling with Molly (Min Pin cross), and Molly has had a three-way rolly-polly game of wrestle earlier with Dawson and Mika.

* Forgot to mention this in yesterday's blog: Buttons (cockapoo) made a new friend yesterday called Sprokette (a tiny Maltese puppy). Boy, was Buttons ever curious in her! She was following her everywhere, sniffing and almost protecting her like her mom. At the moment, Buttons is sharing her favourite quiet spot on the blanket with Dawson.

* Sheraz (miniature schnauzer) was such a good girl on her walk today. When Pat took her out with Molly, they came across another dog on the street called Teddy. Well, Teddy and Molly started barking, going nuts! But Sheraz was so calm and cool, just waiting patiently for everyone to calm down. Good girl. :-)

* Pictured left: Heidi looking happy in the foreground, and Sheraz in the background.

* Maximus (terrier) also really enjoyed his walk, tail wagging excitedly! And the other Maximus (Yorkie) has been playing ball, and chasing after Heidi.

* Oh, Theodore (Yorkie) just arrived, and it's GAME ON. A whole pack of them are chasing after the ball: Jasper, Casper, Maximus (Yorkie), Mico (shih tzu), Lexy and Lola (cockapoo).

* Pictured left: Theodore barking as Lola moves in on the ball.

* Lola, Theodore, Maximus (Yorkie) Jasper and Casper are especially loving this fetch game. Lola's full of energy today - she's also been wrestling Maximus (Yorkie) and right now is playing tumble with Bobo (maltipoo). Bobo sure was excited when he came in here, and has been wiggling around ever since, playing with his friends (especially Lola).

* Right now, LG is playing tug of war with Theodore.

* Mico (pictured left) was like a celebrity when she arrived, greeted by all the dogs with loving hellos. The pups (and humans) sure love her. She was trotting with the pack after the ball a minute ago.

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) was doing some good playing this morning as well, with the littlest dog in the room, Dawson.

Did your dog eat?

* Casper ate all his lunch, and Jasper ate a little bit.

* Buttons ate all her lunch.

* Dawson ate all her lunch.

* Heidi ate about half.

* Maximus (Yorkie) wasn't hungry.

* Sebastian wasn't hungry.

* Bobo wasn't hungry.
