What I Like About You?

Hola, internet denizens and Small Paws devotees. 'Tis I, Dog Blogger #2, reporting on an unabashedly gorgeous day. I adore the sun, I must admit. Merely thinking about things I adore sets me aglow. You can't see it, but right now, I'm out outshining the computer. And continuing on this sunny theme, let me dwell and elaborate upon The Little Things in (Small Paws) Life I Adore.

Vinny's Lithe and Angular Frame

...from a purely artistic point of view, the long lines of this Italian Greyhound? A photographer's dream - a sketcher's delight. And for any canine connoisseur, there is much to appreciate in Vinny's form. It doesn't hurt, of course, that Vinny is pretty awesomesauce :)

Bechler's Face

Seriously. How can you not kiss this face? I know that several of you just leaned in to give the screen a big smooch. It's okay. There is no judgement here.

Yogi's Coat

This melange of colour and texture? Not only is impressive to behold in an image, but Yogi's really awesome to, well, just hold. And snuggle. Don't tell him I told you that, but it's true.

Brooklyn's Furrow

Again: how can you resist the urge to kiss Brooklyn's eyebrow furrow? And it's not just that I walk around, planting smooches and making out with dogs - because I don't, but there are some things that cannot be denied. Who thinks this little facial frown is adorable and deserves a kiss? Me. You. EVERYBODY.

Believe it or not, folks, but these wee paws are not those of a stuffed animal, but a living, breathing furball of puppy goodness named Barney. Dog Blogger #2 has her journalistic standards, so there is no Photoshopping here.

Furbert's Wiry Coat

If you wanted to express terrier-ness in one coat - in one quick picture - here it is. And beyond this wiry, wheaton shag, Furbert has the heart, mind, and soul of a terrier: fun-loving, fearless, and FAST.

Tina's Foxy Grin

Oh, Pomeranians. In addition to rocking a sassy and full coat, you give some of the best grins the dog world has ever known. Photogenic much? I think so.

Dempster's Regal Ears 

A kinglier countenance has never been seen. I'd totally follow this dog into battle. It's not easy looking noble. I think only Dempster, Liam Neeson, and Cate Blanchett can do it. Eat your heart out, Prince Charles :P

Maggie's Tongue

Oh, Maggie. She is sweetness, enrobed in a smoky shag of blacks and deep charcoals and hues of gray, with lovely dark eyes. But suddenly - she smiles! - and out hangs a pretty pink tongue. Contrast? Noted. Happiness? Personified.
