Four Hundred and Ninety Six

Greetings and salutations canine-loving compatriots. It's a sobering, misty day in Vancouver, but I have no qualms; your Dog Blogger #2 was afflicted with a sunburn this past long weekend.

Did you know that dogs can be prone to sunburn? They most assuredly can be, so owners of recently-shaved dogs; short-coated pooches; and wispy-feathered pups should do their utmost to ensure their dogs are adequately protected from the glare of the unforgiving sun.

It was a cozy day at daycare, and we welcomed Milhouse, a feisty and fun-loving Mini Schnauzer to the gang today. He was devotedly followed by Barney, and was quite enamoured with Rosie, I thought.
Enjoy the rest of the week, m'dears; I'll be back on Tues.
-Dog Blogger #2 out.

Fear not, Rose and Hugo: the rain shall cease. And on a completely unrelated note, Rose and Hugo are the names of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger's children. If you don't know Harry Potter, please don't ask. It's embarrassing enough that I'm even mentioning it online.
****

Breathe iiiin...and ouuuuut... the air's been rendered clean by the rain.
****

This is Zuzu's default pose: body taut, limbs ready, and eyes honed in on the ball.
****

Tyson has big-brother love for Frodo.
****

Chix, if you didn't know, is my right hand man. If there's a new dog who's a wee bit skittish, I introduce Chix to him/her. He is a pro at socialization.
****

Three words: Girls. Gone. Wild.
****

Milhouse, Barney, and Rosie were the Three Musketeers today.

New Student: Milhouse :)

Huummmmmp Day!

Thank you (insert name of your preferred deity - be it religious or scientific!) for Wednesdays - we are but two days away from the glorious weekend. And for any interested Vancouverites, there are a few festivals going on this weekend, which does include a fantastic one in Stanley Park with free concerts and the ilk.

Today is blog #495, I believe...five more to go 'til we transition to facebook! :)
-Dog Blogger #2 out.
****

Ruby, m'dear: you're supposed to IN the chair; not next to it ;)
****

Ruby informs Zuzu that it's a Doxie-only party. Ouch.
****

Katie - you are big and bee-you-ti-ful!
****

I love this shirt. Kaia - you have fantabulous style, darlin'.
****

Maggie keeps it cool and on the down-lo.
****

Zuzu LOVES backscratches (think right between the shoulder blades)!
****

Mr B *RAN* to greet Chix - soooooo cute.
****

...and so did Katie. Chix likes the big ladies, I suppose ;)
****

Yes, Bruce did carry that ball with him EVERYWHERE today.

Class Photo, y'all.

Post-Holiday Assessments

...Aaaand a glorious good morning to you, my internet denizens. I hope you all had stellar long weekends. Your very own Dog Blogger #2 went mountaintop camping, and to her astonishment, was surrounded by metres of snow. Also marmots, which are now my new favourite animal.
On a more sombre note, there was an entirely preventable incident over the weekend, wherein a wee puppy died after being left in a car. I know that none of our clients would ever do that to their own fur babies, but hesitate never to contact the authorities should you witness a similar scenario.

We're down to the last handful of blog posts before we transition to the fb page!

This pic, in effect, does make my heart smile. Dearest Yogi - a benign and silly presence in our daycare :)
****

Speaking of smiling: Rocco is the Master and Commander of Dog Grins. Seriously.
****

Nothing says summer like a pink cupcake collar. I <3 this on so many levels.
****

Bunny rabbit ears + adorable dog = unreal levels of cute. FACT.
****

Another fact? Dying your dog's tail is full of win.
****

CAIRN POWER!
****

Because no one likes to wake up alone :)
****

Frodo subscribes to the theory that he who has the most toys - wins!
****

Because there was so much prancing, it was difficult to snap a good pic, but Zoey and Rosie = BFF.
****

Kaia's stands by and waits for Enid to crack open the cookie jar.
