Looks like it's going to be a sunny day, so get out there and make the most of it!

As for today, the morning walks are done, lunches are fed, and the dogs are having a blast.

Here's what's been going on:

* Callie's staying with us for boarding, and she's been a very good girl (as always!). She really likes our two dogs - Mika and Lexy - and they love her too. Buttons (cockapoo) is back today after a day off at home. My dogs were thrilled to see her! They also looooove Marley (Havanese) and have been chasing her around.

* Yuki (Papillon) is being his happy, tail-wagging, playful self, frolicking around with Tofu (Boston-Bulldog), Katie (Sheltie) and Frankie (Boston Terrier). Katie has also been chasing after the ball, doing leap-frog jumps over Callie to catch the ball! She's also been wrestling with Daisy (shih tzu - pictured left, all tucked in).

* Tofu has been Mr Socialite, playing with Daisy, Jude (puggle), Muggles (Maltese puppy) and Rolo (pug). He's a very vocal dog, doing this funny, playful whimper when he's wrestling.

* Spike, LG and Frankie have also been chasing after the ball, and wrestling Marley and Jude. LG had a good tug-of-war match going with Jude this morning. Tofu and Rolo are also part of this fast-running, energetic wrestling pack.

* Lui Lui (chi-Jack Russell) hasn't been to daycare for a while, and she's regressed a bit. She was breaking out of her nervous shell and getting playful, but after taking some time off, she's back to being a bit snappy. She did enjoy her walk with Yuki and Pat, though. With a bit more socialization she'll be back on track again!

* Bella (chi-Jack Russell puppy) is going through a similar thing... she's a fiesty little thing and I'd recommend giving her as much socialization as possible right now. She can be a bit grumpy around some of the dogs. Saying that, she's been playing lots! She's been wrestling Daisy, chasing Muggles and running after the ball.

* Muggles has also been wrestling Dawson (chi puppy), playing with Tofu and Daisy (pictured left). Dawson also had a cute little game of tug of war going on with Bella. Dawson's been getting lots of affection from Sebastian (miniature poodle) today. They've been buds - we saw Dawson give Sebastian kisses!

* Danger (Maltese) has also been playing with Daisy, and chasing Bella around.

* Tonka (miniature dachshound) just arrived, so I don't have much to report on him just yet. He's eating his lunch right now. :-)

June 29: The masked crusader

Who's hiding behind the holey blanket? It's Blanket Dog, coming to save the day! He whips out his favourite stash of rope toys and squeaky balls to share with the other doggies at daycare.

And if that photo wasn't cute enough, here's Muggles (left), our new Canada Day mascot. Please note Small Paws will be closed this Wednesday (Canada Day) for the holiday. We hope you all have the day off to relax with your dogs & loved ones...

So it's 1 p.m. as I start writing this and we're having a busy Monday. The morning walks are done, Pat is feeding lunches, and the pups are running around in circles.

Scroll down to the end of this blog to see the group photo. It was taken earlier today so unfortunately it's missing a few dogs. And this is what's been happening today:

* Bechler (ahem - Blanket Dog, the Boston Terrier), has been playing tug of war with Gus (American cocker spaniel) and LG (Yorkie cross). LG's brother Spike (Yorkie) has also been running around with them, but mostly wrestling with his new girlfriend, Lola (cockapoo).

* Spike and LG have also been playing chase with our 2 dogs, Mika and Lexy. And Lola loooves little Muggles (Maltese). Who else loves Muggles? Tofu! The Boston-Bulldog likes wrestling with her, chasing her, rolling around on the dog bed, play-fighting with her, and even does this special little squeaky play noise when he's tackling her. Tofu also likes Dawson, the little chihuahua puppy, and Bechler (Blanket Dog). Sebastian (miniature poodle) was playing with Tofu on their walk.

* So great to see Dawson back again! She was on holidays last week and we missed her... She was happy to see us humans, and has been playing with Molly (Min Pin cross) non-stop (both pictured above left). I guess I shouldn't say non-stop, because Molly has also been blasting around with Gus and Frankie (Boston).

* Tui and Alley are becoming quite the little socialites. They're such a little tag-team, never really leaving each other's side, but today Tui has been playing with Callie (Havanese-shih tzu). We expect to see more playing out of these two this afternoon...

* Hurray - we also haven't seen Frankie since boarding him weeks ago, and he was really happy to see us, too. He's been playing with Yuki (Papillon), Bechler and Molly. Yuki has also been playing with Frankie (Boston Terrier), Molly and Danger (Maltese). I think Danger has the coolest name, especially since he's such a gentle little thing. Lola gave him kisses this morning. Awww...

* Tonka (miniature dachshound) has a new friend called Dash (same breed). They're both boys and have similar personalities, so they've been following each other around. Dash has also been playing with Tofu, Bobo (maltipoo) and Gus. Gus had a bath this morning and is looking pretty handsome!

* Bobo (maltipoo) is on a wrestle mission! He took on Emmi (Italian Greyhound) ealier and then Callie. Emmi has also been playing with Gus (pictured left, playing with Molly). We haven't seen Peanut (Min Pin) do any playing this morning but she's been running around with the pack. Enid (Jack Russell) just went up to Danger to say hello/sniff. She's been mingling with the pack, getting her exercise.

June 26: Happy Birthday Jude

Jude (puggle) turns one on Sunday so we threw him a birthday paw-ty! His mom bought him a cake from the dog bakery and he looooooved it. We made sure he shared with his friends though...

Morning walks are done and lunches fed. We'll do round of walks/potty breaks at around 2:30/3 p.m. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this blog entry for today's fabulous group photo.

* So what's been going on? We'll start with the birthday boy. Jude has had a super day, playing with his friends, eating cake, wrestling with Tofu (Boston-Bulldog puppy). Tofu has also been playing lots with little Muggles (tiny Maltese puppy) and Umber (chihuahua). Check out the photo of him left, play-fighting with Muggles. Also, that's Jude and Muggles pictured right.

* Buttons (cockapoo) loves birthday parties, and especially loves the cake. She was right in there, waiting for her little slice, and of course singing Happy Birthday to Jude. Er, right - that I'd like to see.

* Bently (Yorkie) and Yuki (Papillon) have been joined at the hip this morning, chasing each other around. We haven't seen Bently here for a while and he sure is a happy, friendly little thing, going up to everyone!

* Bobo (maltipoo) was a very good boy for boarding last night, and has had a super time playing with all his friends yesterday and today. He likes chasing our dogs - Mika and Lexy - around on the carpets at home, too. Tui and Alley have been playing lots with Bobo today. They're getting really playful!

* Scooby (American cocker spaniel) has been playing with Jude and Spike (Yorkie) and LG (Yorkie-shih tzu). Spike and LG love birthday cake so much, in the group photo, they kept inching forward, trying to get closer to the goods. Enid (Jack Russell) was doing the same thing, and when the group photos were done, she was the first one to lunge for the cake!

* We'd like to introduce a new dog to the pack today: Frank (Yorkie-poo). It's his first day so he's a little timid, as expected, but he's in the small room with a few of the littl'uns right now. He feels more comfortable with the laidback dogs but definitely needs more socializing to gain his confidence around other dogs. He's mingling with little Muggles (Maltese), Umber (chi), Bently (Yorkie), Ozzy (Min Pin) and Danger (Maltese).

* Also, exciting news... Muggles is getting a little sister! His mom just bought a little companion for him (pictured right). Isn't she adorable?

* Umber, Muggles and Bently are chasing each other through the blue tunnel right now, wrestling. Umber's also been playing lots with Tofu and Jude. Make sure you scroll down to yesterday's blog entry for the BEST photo of her!

* How do you like this action shot (left) of Ozzy (Min Pin) playing with Maximus (Yorkie)? Maximus is always a happy ball of energy, and has been having lots of fun with Tofu and Heidi (shnoodle) today too.

* Danger's been doing lots of playing with Umber, Heidi's been wrestling Maximus, Sebastian's been playing with Maximus and Yuki... play, play, play...

* Yuki didn't eat breakfast, but worked up an appetite while playing and gobbled up his kibble for lunch.

* Scooby ate all his lunch.

June 25: Check out this photo!

This is the BEST photo I have seen in a long time. Most of you know Umber, the chihuahua, but did you know she has a brother from another mother called Phthalo? His mom sent this in.

So the morning walks have been done, and lunches fed. As I type this, it's 1 p.m. and dogs still have a lot of energy. Usually by around 2:30/3 p.m., when we do the second walks, they're struggling to keep their eyes open. That's the nice quiet time... LOL.

* We'd like to introduce a new member of the pack: Arlo (puggle, pictured above left). He's well socialized and getting along great with all the other dogs so far. LG (Yorkie-shih tzu) is playing chase with Arlo right now.

* At the moment, we've got a high-energy crowd chasing each other around. Bechler (Boston Terrier) and Gus (American Cocker Spaniel) are wrestling. Scooby (Am'n cocker spaniel) is right in there, too. He has been chasing after the ball and playing tug of war with Bechler lots this morning. Spike (Yorkie) and LG (Yorkie-shi tzu) have been chasing Bechler and... pretty much the whole hyper crowd around.

* Gus has been chasing Bechler on the ramps and playing with Yuki (Papillon). Also part of the pack: Rolo (pug), who's been chasing and wrestling with Bechler. Love this photo of them to the left.

* And then we have the more gentle players, who have been wrestling lots but with less grunting noises and slower chasing, if that makes sense... Everyone else I mention from here on fits ito this category. We'll start with Tonka (miniature dachshund), who has been pouncing around with his girlfriend Pebbles (maltipoo). Pebbles arrived just before noon and Tonka hasn't seen her for a while, so they're just getting warmed up.

* Pebbles has also been playing lots with Bobo (white maltipoo). Guess who also likes Bobo? Buttons (cockapoo). She curled up next to him for a nap... but sprung into action at 12 o'clock for lunch. Bobo has been quite the socialite today. He's also been wrestling Katie (Sheltie) and Lola (cockapoo).

* Katie (pictured left with her ball) wins the award at this daycare for "Best Agility." You can chuck that ball across the room and she'll catch it in the air. I half expect her to do a front-flip in the process... it really is something. She's also been wrestling lots this morning with Yuki (Papillon) and Bobo (maltipoo).

* Lola's family is in the process of moving so she's been a bit anxious this week, but today she seems to be back to her usual self - playing with Bobo and Danger (Maltese puppy) and playing "bob for the ball" in the water dish (hilarious!) Danger is getting more confident every day. He also really likes playing with Chico (chihuahua).

* And then there's Ozzy (Min Pin), who's been Mr. Playful today. He's been chasing LG, wrestling with Lexy (chi-Silky Terrier) and Mika (chihuahua), and playing with Danger. But that's not all... check out this action shot to the right of Ozzy going for Gus's jugular.

* Then we have the Milky (Bischon/poodle) - Chico (chihuahua) - Danger (Maltese) - Sebastian (miniature poodle) pack. They're all adorable, and playing together so nicely. They've been wrestling together and playing chase/pounce. Hugo (shih tzu) is part of their pack too, but he hasn't been participating in the wrestlng games. He goes up to them and sniffs, and hangs around with them, but is kind of like the cool, laidback dude who hangs in the back and waits for the ladies to approach him.

* Danger is out of kibble: can you bring some more next time for his lunch? We gave him a couple of treats from his baggie.

* Yuki didn't eat breakfast, but ate his kibble for lunch, as always.

* Scooby ate all of his lunch.

* Buttons ate all of her Cesar.

* Gus ate all.

* Tonka ate.

* Ozzy ate about half the kibble.

* Sebastian ate about half.

* Pebbles wasn't hungry.

* Milky wasn't hungry.

* Chico ate a little bit.

June 24: Soggy doggy

I think this photo is a new group photo record: 27 dogs! Incredible how Nigel and Pat do it... Yes, a few of them get bored after a while and lay down - and others jump away - but they keep placing them back ("sit!," "stay!") until they get the shot. We're just missing Max (Yorkie) in the pic, who arrived a little later.

It's raining lightly outside but that didn't stop us from taking everyone out for their morning walks (except for a few that opted out of walks due to the weather). Yes, we had a few soggy doggies return, but at least it's nice and warm in here so they're drying up.

So what else is going on? Well, it's a busy day so we have the dogs divided between the two rooms.

* Let's start by introducing the new dog, Tiger! He's an adorable chihuahua/lhasa apso cross (pictured right), with beautiful copper fur. This is his first day of daycare and he's doing remarkably well, mingling with the other dogs and making lots of friends. He's a very friendly boy. :-)

* In the large room right now, we have brothers Jasper and Casper (Coton de Tulear) chasing Rico (pug-cross) and Heidi (shnoodle) around. J&C do this hopping dance over one another when they're playing, as though spring boarding on trampolines. Rico has also been chasing Pepe (Havanese) and wrestling like mad with Maggie (Cairns Terrier).

* Also in the large room, Scooby (black American cocker spaniel) has been playing chase non-stop with his blonde companion, Gus (also an Am'n cocker spaniel). The two of them are equally matched in size and good buddies! Gus also loves Yuki (Papillon) and Molly (Min Pin-cross).

* Spike (Yorkie) just came back from his walk, soaked. He looks a bit grumpy about it, but he didn't seem to mind the wet on the walk. LOL. His bro LG has been playing chase with Jasper, Casper and Heidi. Enid (Jack Russell) was right in there, mingling with the pack earlier, but right now she's just chillin' on a blanket.

* Lola (cockapoo) has been a bit out of sorts the last couple of days, but she seems MUCH better today. She's still playing, but has been whining a bit and looks a bit anxious. Her parents are in the process of moving so it's stressed her out a bit. She looks a little sad in the photo but she's definitely happier today... :-)

* Today is Spaw day (fully booked), so there are some very cute hair cuts and nice-smelling dogs wandering around.

* Jones (Bischon) looks adorable with her new 'do (pictured left). She's spent the morning playing with Daisy (shih tzu) and wrestling Danger (Maltese puppy). Danger was a good boy and did his #2 outside. Yay!

* Daisy is very playful and loving, and is also having a blast with buddies Molly (Min Pin) and Tofu (Boston-Bulldog). Tofu also looooves Daisy (the two of them pictured right) and was a good boy and did his #2 outside this morning.

* Buttons (cockapoo) is curled up right now next to Sebastian (miniature poodle) and Bailey (Yorkie-chihuahua). Bailey looooves Buttons and always tries to play with her, wagging his tail and balancing on his back legs. He's quite a bit shorter than Buttons though so his paws only barely reach her face. Bailey has also been playing with Yuki (Papillon) this morning.

* Just moved Bailey & his brother Charlie (Yorkie-Pom) into the small room to entertain a few of the littl'uns. In the small room we have: Mika (Maltese), Max (Yorkie, pictured right), Bella (chi-Jack Russell), Mika #2 (chihuahua) and Lexy (chi-silky terrier). They're all little and running around, keeping each other company. A few of them have been running through the blue tunnel.

June 23: Woof - what a crowd!

Lots of happy puppies blasting around the place today. The morning walks have been done, lunches are fed, and the eyelids are starting to droop a little bit after an action-packed morning of chasing tail.

* Umber (chihuahua) wins the award for "Most Sociable" today, running up to everyone to play. She's been kissing and wrestling Yuki (Papillon), and pouncing on Winston (beagle-cross), and pretty much playing with everyone. Coming in at a close second is the ever-playful Molly (Min Pin), who's just been going, going, going... Yuki has been attached at the hip to Molly and Umber all morning. Ozzy (Min Pin) has been right in there, too, mostly chasing Molly around.

* Umber has also been dabbling with the high-speed crew, like Jasper and Casper (Coton du Tulear), playing chae together. The brothers J&C have also been chasing after the ball with Charlie (Pom-chi) and Lola (cockapoo). Lola has been wrestling Winston, and at this moment is getting lots of kisses from Lexy (chihuahua-Silky terrier).

* Speaking of Charlie, his brother Bailey (Yorkie-chi) has been really frisky and cute today! He's been going up to Danger (Maltese) and wagging his tail and pouncing on him, and the same to Buttons (cockapoo). He loves Buttons, but unfortunately she doesn't want to play with him (I think she likes the affection though). She doesn't tell him to buzz off, and puts up with his playfulness, just like she does with Lexy.

* Check out these action shots above of Danger playing pounce with Jones (Bischon). The two little white dogs have become really good buddies. Danger is gaining his confidence, going around sniffing hi to all the dogs this morning, and following his girrrrl-friend Jones everywhere! He's also been playing with Bailey. The always-playful Jones has also been burning around with Milky (Bischon/poodle) and giving her kisses.

* Milky got a big face wash from Winston... ahh... puppy love. She's also been wrestling Molly, Jones and Sebastian (miniature poodle). We all know how much Sebastian looooooves Milky.

* Also part of the high-speed pack: Spike & LG, who've been blasting around the place after Winston. Check out the photo of the three buddies together (Spike's face is crammed in the middle).

* It's Tofu (Boston-Bulldog)'s second day at daycare, and we're loving watching him pounce around. He's such a puppy, with his floppy moves and playful dances. He's been playing with Winston and Molly lots, and chasing Umber. He has little bouts of shyness when other dogs want to play with him so daycare is really good for him to learn his boundaries around other dogs. His owners will be happy to know that he did his "sit" and "stay" VERY well for the group photo today. Good boy!

* Tui and Alley have been super friendly and much more confident this week than in previous visits. Tui's even been chasing Danger (both pictured to the left), and Alley reallly likes Milky. As always, the brother-sister are practically inseparable, following each other everywhere. 1:45 p.m. UPDATE: Rolo (pug) has just arrived and Tui is going nuts, playing with Rolo like crazy. I haven't seen him this playful before - pounding and chasing!

* We have been working with Tonka (miniature dachshund) on his housebreaking, and we are VERY happy to report that he peed outside today on his walk. YAY! But then he came inside and did a #2 on the floor. Well, we'll keep trying... LOL. He's been having a fun day as well, chasing Umber and Jones around.

* Maximus has been a very good boy today. He just looooved his walk, wagging his tail at ever person he saw. He's got a really sweet, gentle personality. He hasn't been playing with the other dogs inside, but is happy to mingle with everyone. Same goes for Hugo and Mico (both shih tzus), who've been hanging out together and with Maximus, just enjoying the show.

* Buttons ate all (in seconds flat!).

* Jasper and Casper ate a cup of kibble between them, as usual.

June 22: Two new members of the pack

Introducing... soon-to-be baby Irwin! Normally this main photo goes to a cute dog photo, but we just had a 3D ultrasound done and here's a sneak peak into what will be bursting into the world in just a few months.

She'll (yes - she) grow up with a lot of animals around, just like a little Bindi Irwin (Steve Irwin's daughter... LOL).

Now back to the dogs! The morning walks are done, and we've just finished lunches. More walks to come this afternoon. Scroll down to read what your dog has been up to so far, and make sure you check out the group photo at the very end of the blog.

* The second new member of the pack I'd like to introduce is Tofu (pictured left on the chair). He's an adorable Boston-Bulldog puppy, and he's been bombing around the place with Bechler (Boston Terrier) and Muggles (Maltese puppy) all morning. He's also been playing with Danger (Maltese puppy), in a very cute chase/pounce game.

* Bechler (pictured above, giving Tofu a spank) has also been wrestling Abby (Corgi) and Heidi (shnoodle), and playing tug of war with LG (Yorkie).

* Muggles has a sweet little outfit on today. He's been a little play machine this morning, chasing Tonka (miniature dachshund) and Danger (Maltese puppy) and wrestling Tofu. LG and his brother Spike (Yorkie) have been chasing Heidi and Bechler around, and participating in the Bechler-Heidi-Jasper-Casper-chase pack.

* Tonka (miniature dachshund) and Marley (Havanese) spent the weekend with us. They had a blast chasing each other, and our two - Mika (chi) and Lexy (chi-Silky Terrier) around the on the carpets. They went for walks and got lots of attention...

* Buttons (cockapoo) has had a few bursts of energy today - first when Pat arrived (squealing and jumping up and down!), and then when I (Katya) arrived (more hopping - so sweet), and then at lunch time... She always makes us smile. :-)

* Yuki (Papillon) has been playing with Muggles and Marley this morning. He's just a pup still and he looooves to wrestle. Molly (Min Pin cross) has also been playing with Heidi and Ozzy (Min Pin) lots. Ozzy must be missing his girlfriend, Dawson, who's away on holiday right now... His new BFF replacement today is Muggles (see the photo right).

* We haven't seen Tui and Alley for a while (Yorkie-cross and Brussels). These two are totally inseparable. When one goes to get a drink, the other one follows. When one rests, the other rests. Talk about companions! Right now they're both mingling with the pack, just walking around with the other dogs.

* And here's another brother-sister combo we haven't seen for ages: Yogi and Abby (Corgis). Yogi has been playing with little Muggles, and Abby has been especially active, chasing Bechler around LOTS (the two of them pictured left).

* Jasper and Casper have zooming around with their girlfriend Heidi (shnoodle) all over the ramps. Jasper was very curious when he saw little Muggles (he's a tiny Maltese puppy) and has been chasing him around and playing really gently with him.

* Enid (Jack Russell) is always curious when there's a new dog around, and today she's quite fascinated with little Muggles. She went up for a sniff, and Muggles rebounded, trying to play with her!

* Gus (Yorkie-cross) has been playing with Tofu and Muggles, and keeps trying to get Sebastian (miniature poodle) to play with him. Sebastian and Gus have been mostly been playing chase, and also a little pounce/wrestle.

June 19: Go fetch!

As I type this, Pat is chucking the ball for the dogs for a ruff-housing game of fetch!

* Spike (Yorkie), LG (Yorkie-shih tzu), Heidi (shnoodle), Jasper & Casper (both Coton de Tulear), Yuki (Papillon) and Bechler (Boston Terrier) are all bombing after the ball...

* It's now 12 o'clock and Buttons's (cockapoo) internal alarm clock has just gone off. Squealing with delight! Hopping up and down! Oh, boy, oh boy... it's lunch time! LOL. She's hilarious. We always feed her first because it's one of the highlights of her day. :-)

* So other than the crazy fetch games going on, we've had an action-packed morning of wrestling, tail-chasing, and the usual running around. Yuki (Papillon) has been wrestling with Molly (Min Pin cross). Molly has also been playing tug of war with Bechler (Boston Terrier). His fav game! Bechler had a pretty good wrestle match going with Heidi (shnoodle) earlier, and looooves chasing LG. Spike & LG have been playing chase, fetch, and tug of war with Bechler & Heidi.

* Speaking of Heidi, brothers Jasper and Casper were sure thrilled to see her today! I know it sounds like I'm repeating myself (this is one of their favourite games, after all), but J & C have been blasting around the room, chasing Heidi on the back ramps. They've also been playing fetch.

* Right now, Ozzy (Min Pin) is playing with Molly on the dog bed. Tail wag, pounce! Chase... And Ozzy goes for the jugular, his mouth pried open wide (that's his famous move).

* Tonka (miniature dachshund) was soooo happy to see his girlfriends - Sasha (Papillon) and Heidi (shnoodle). He's been playing lots with both of them, and we caught him cuddling up to Bobo (maltipoo) earlier, too. Bobo was a little wriggle-monster when he got here, squirming around, saying hi to everyone. As for Sasha, she's been tailing after Casper, Jasper and Heidi in the fetch game.

* We haven't seen Hugo (shih tzu) doing any playing this morning, but he has been mingling with the dogs all day, right in the thick of it. His best buddy is Danger (Maltese) who is also pretty laid back. Danger went up to Hugo and gave him lots of sniffs hello. He also gave Max (Yorkie) a warm welcome. Max is being a bit shy, but has been following Danger around. Danger has been doing a fair bit of playing today - pouncing around with Yuki and trying to get Ozzy and Molly to play chase with him.

* No Milky today... :-( Sebastian (miniature poodle) was sad to see she isn't here. He's been playing a bit with Heidi (shnoodle) and seems to have a lot of energy, chasing the pack around. That's Heidi and Bechler wrestling in the big pic at the top.

June 18: These paws were made for walkin'

Fang-tastic day for dog walking. Not too hot, not too cold... the dogs have lots of energy and everyone knows how much our four-legged friends love to sniff and explore.

* Even Buttons, the laidback cockapoo, had lots of energy on her walk today with Pat and Maggie (Cairns Terrier). They were trucking along, sniffing and checking out their surroundings. Maggie seems much happier today, too, with the cooler weather. She's been playing with Yuki (Papillon) all morning - and tried to chase a crow on her walk.

* Yuki has also been playing lots with Gus (American cocker spaniel). They have this mouthing game, going at each other with their alligator jaws clamping at each other. It's all very friendly and playful, of course. Gus has also been playing tug of war with Marley (Havanese) and Ozzy (Min Pin).

* Jasper and Casper (Coton de Tulear) have also had lots of energy this morning, bombing around with Milky (Bischon/poodle) and Jones (Bischon). The four little white dogs are a happy pack of white, zooming fur! Jasper has also been chasing after the ball with Maximus (Yorkie). Jones has also been wrestling Milky and cuddling up to Sofie (Yorkie). Pictured below/left is Jones and Milky:

* We haven't seen Sofie (Yorkie - pictured below, right) for a while, so we were happy to see her happy, smiley face. She came in and sniffed hello to her friends, and did some wrestling with her new girlfriend, Jones (Bischon). Guess who also likes Sofie? Danger! (Maltese puppy). He's been getting more confident and even ate his lunch today. :-)

* Oh boy, Tonka (miniature dachshund) is in paradise. The little lady's dog spent the morning chasing Jones and head-butting her into playing, and just a few minutes ago, Sasha (Papillon) arrived. He was following her around, running after her and ramming into her, trying to get her to play. Until... game on!!! Sasha also likes Yuki, the Papillon, and Jones (Bischon).

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) has a weird infatuation with Sasha, following her everywhere... LOL. He's also been playing lots with Milky and chasing Maximus around.

* Ozzy (Min Pin) has been wrestling with Maximus (Yorkie) for ages! Ozzy's all fangs, mouth wide open, trying to look ferocious as he tackles Maximus. Max loves running around with the ball in his mouth, and was playing fetch earlier with Lola (cockapoo) and Yuki. Lola has also been wrestling Lexy (chihuahua - silky terrier) and chasing the pack around, super-fast.

* Marley (Havanese) has been tackling Spike and LG in a three-way wrestle match. These three love playing together. She's also been playing with our two, Lexy and Mika. The girls are really looking forward to having Marley over this weekend! LG has also been playing tug of war with Gus. Check out this photo of LG, Sofie and Spike:

* Emma (miniature dachshund) enjoyed her walk today. Her tail came up and she looked really happy. She's taking it easy in the small room with Mika and Lexy, and at one point, was playing on the dog pillow with them a little bit (not running around or wrestling, but pawing). We hope her back is feeling better.

June 17: Puppy power

Soooo many great photos today (I'm adding more than usual for your entertainment). At the top is Umber and Dawson, the two ferocious chihuahuas, battling it to the death... (roar!)

* Muggles has settled in really nicely, playing with Dawson, Chico and Umber (all chihuahua puppies, Bella (chi-cross puppy), Daisy the shih tzu puppy, Umber (chi puppy)... see a theme here?

So the morning walks have been done and lunches have just finished. Scroll down to read what your dog has been up to so far.

* Buttons started squealing with delight at 12 o'clock ... lunch time! She starts hopping up and down on her hind legs for her Cesar. She's been hanging out with Maximus this morning (terrier-cross). He's such a good boy. They both loved their walks outside with Pat, too, although Buttons took it nice 'n leisurely.

* Enid (Jack Russell) has quite a bit of energy today, running around with the pack. She's very good at sitting for the group photos, and was very curious about Bella (chihuahua-Jack Russell cross).

* Speaking of Bella, she's a feisty little thing. Reminds me a lot of our dog, Lexy (chihuahua-silky terrier). Bella's been playing with Daisy (shih tzu puppy) this morning with no growling... hurray! She's also been wrestling Molly (Min Pin) and Umber (chi), and chasing Charlie (maltipoo), who's getting his hair cut at the moment in the Spaw.

* Actually you should see all the chihuahuas in here today (pictured right, but missing Chico)... we've got seven chis, 2 Min Pins and 3 Maltese which are all the same size - all buzzing around in a little pack. Umber has been playing with Dawson, Bella and Tonka (miniature dachshund). Tonka looooves Umber.

* Daisy (shih tzu puppy) is also playing with the chihuahua pack, chasing Oliver, Dawson and Chico, pouncing at Muggles, and frolicking with Bella and Molly. Oliver (chihuahua) has a cool t-shirt on. He's getting much more confident being here, and with the other dogs, and has been playing lots with Daisy and Umber. Who else loves Daisy? Sebastian (miniature poodle). He gives her cuddles... He's also been chasing Heidi around. Pictured left: Chico, Muggles and Daisy.

* Chico is also a fairly new chihuahua puppy, with the coolest tabby-like colouring. He's been playing with all the chihuahuas, and Danger, the six-month-old Maltese puppy. This is Danger's first week and he was pretty timid on day one, but he's been doing lots of playing today! At this moment, he's chasing Gus (Am'n cocker spaniel).

* Molly (Min Pin cross) loves playing with the littl'uns like Ozzy (Min Pin) and Dawson, plus all the other chihuahuas, but it's especially hilarious when she tackles Gus (American cocker spaniel). Ozzy's been playing one-on-one wrestle and chase games with Molly and Dawson.

* Oh, you should have seen Gus play tug-of-war with little Dawson (all two pounds of muscle, pictured left with Muggles). It was nearly a battle of David & Goliath, but Gus was really gentle ... He's also been chasing Spike (Yorkie) and LG (Yorkie-shih tzu) around, and playing tug of war with LG and Molly. LG's also been chasing Heidi (shnoodle) around.


* Heidi's quite popular with the fast-running boys, actually. One of her favourite games is TAG! Jasper and Casper love it when Heidi's here because the three of them blast off, chasing tails around the room, and zooming around the ramps in the back room. NRG!

* Emma (miniature dachshund) has a delicate back, so we put her in her crate today to take her outside so she wouldn't have to conquer the front step. On her walk, she had her tail up - a good sign?! She's been relaxing with Mika (chi) this afternoon in the small room.

* Bella doesn't have any lunch here. Sorry about that - we have another Bella who comes here and Nigel thought he had the right kibble for her, but we don't. Can you bring some next time? (We'll label it clearly).

June 16: Lots of little white dogs

It's 11 a.m. as I start writing this, and we have 20 dogs at daycare. Of those, nine are little white dogs! That doesn't happen too often.

See if you can spot the white pups in the group photo above: there's Bella (Maltese), Marley Havanese), Jasper and Casper (both Coton du Tulear), Mika (Maltese), Danger (Maltese), Milky (Bischon/poodle), Bobo (maltipoo) and Sebastian (miniature poodle). That's Danger and Bobo cuddling up on the chair below.

* So right this moment, Yuki (Papillon) is wrestling Rico (pug-Havanese). He's also been playing a lot with Bobo (maltipoo) this morning. Pat has written down on the comment sheet that Bobo "needs a tutu for all the dancing he's been doing with Yuki!" Ozzy (Min Pin) really misses his girlfriends Molly and Dawson today, keeping himself busy by playing with Bobo.

* Rico has also been playing chase and pounce with Marley (Havanese) and Milky (Bischon/poodle). EVERYONE loves Milky - she just runs around from group to group, joining in the action. Sebastian (miniature poodle) loves her especially. They've been playing together all morning.

* Marley has been zapping around the place, up and down the benches, chasing Winston (beagle-King Charles) in hyper-fast speed. When they finally catch up to each other, Winston does this little whiney/playful cry noise, and they roll around on the dog bed. Also jumping in the dog-pile are Spike (Yorkie) and LG (Yorkie-shih tzu).

* Actually, Marley has been extremely popular this morning. The funniest thing is seeing Tonka and Linus (both miniature dachshunds) tackling Marley. They both have the same playing style... running at her and... CHARGE!! They ram into the side of her, and then they begin this mid-air wrestling game. Hilarious.

* Bella (Maltese) has had lots of energy, running around saying hi to all the dogs. She's become little buddies with Danger (also Maltese) and Mika (another Maltese). The three Maltese pups are all the same size and look very cute together.

* Check out Buttons (cockapoo) and Sebastian (miniature poodle) posing nicely in the group photo. These two have become companions, often sitting together, and sitting so calmly for the photos. So cute!

* Jasper and Casper have been entertaining us by chasing their tails! They enjoy running around, from room to room, and wrestling Rico (pug-cross) in a tag-team.

* Yuki didn't eat breakfast, but ate lots for lunch.

* Oops! I made a boo-boo today... Normally Pat does the lunches, but I (Kat) took over today and accidentally gave Bella Mika's food. Well, she looooved it. I really hope it doesn't give her an upset tummy.

* There was a bit of kibble left over of Mika's food, so I offered it to Mika, but she wasn't hungry.

* Buttons ate all of her lunch.

* Jasper and Casper ate all of their kibble.

* Tonka ate quite a lot for lunch.

* Danger wasn't hungry.

* Milky wasn't hungry.

* Bobo ate most of his kibble.

* Linus has been eating his treats.

* Ozzy wasn't very hungry today - he only ate a few pieces of kibble.

June 15: Welcoming Danger to the pack

He's got a killer name, but the cutest personality. Let's welcome Danger to the pack!

Danger is a six-month-old Maltese (pictured right), and today is his first day, so he's a little timid, but gaining confidence. He's a perfect candidate for daycare... he could use more socialization around other dogs, and he's so young still, so he'll have a lot of fun in the meantime.

The morning walks have been done, and lunches have just finished.

So what has your dog been up to?

* Danger, as your read above, is here for his first day. He's going up to Buttons, Pepe and Yuki, giving them sniffs. Yuki (Papillon) has been running around with all his buddies, trying to entice Danger to play.

* Buttons (cockapoo) did not want to go for her walk today. She did her business on the grass, and then plopped down. LG (Yorkie-shih tzu) was all geared up to sniff and explore, so Pat encouraged Buttons to keep going - although she had a fairly lazy, slow-moving walk. LOL.

* Spike (Yorkie) has been chasing Pepe (Havanese) around all morning, and playing with his brother LG and Yuki (pictured left). LG's also been playing tug of war with Molly (Min Pin cross) and Bechler (Boston Terrier). It's good to see Pepe is feeling himself again today. Last week he was a little sluggish but today he's back to playing lots with LG and Bechler. Molly has been bouncing around with everyone, playing with the yellow ball, chasing Bechler, and playing tug of war with LG.

* Little Dawson (chi) made a beeline for Molly when she arrived, playing wrestle with her for ages (see the photo to the left)! She's also been wrestling with Sebastian (miniature poodle). Sebastian loves her!

* Casper and Jasper have been chasing after the ball this morning. Casper was wrestling with Tonka (miniature dachshund) and Jasper has been wrestling his girlfriend Heidi (shnoodle). They've been little socialites today! This leads me to Tonka, who's been chasing after the ball with Casper and Molly, and wrestling lots with Casper (as mentioned earlier). Also mentioned above, Heidi is having a fang-tastic time, chasing tails with Bechler, Jasper and Casper.

* Heidi has also been chasing Mika (Maltese) on the red ramps in the back room. I think Mika will become good friends with Danger.

* Bailey (Yorkie cross) looooves Heidi (shnoodle), doing his little tail wag/bum wiggle when he wants to play with her. And Charlie (Pom-chi) has been inseparable from his buddy Charlie (maltipoo) all morning. Little white Charlie and little orange Charlie are about the same size, and do the same wrestle/dance, getting up on their hind legs and pawing at each other. Maltipoo Charlie has also been chasing after the ball and playing with Lexy (chi-Silky Terrier) and wrestling Yuki (the two of them pictured left).

* Emma (miniature dachshund) is relaxing in the small room with Mika (chi) and Lexy right now, resting her back. She didn't want to go for a walk this morning (her back must be hurting) but we'll take her out for a potty break next.

* Theodore (teacup Yorkie) arrived a little later in the afternoon, to much fanfare. He walked around, sniffing and getting his butt sniffed, saying hello to everyone. He's been chasing after the ball with his friends!

June 12: Dogs = little comedians

Hello fellow dog lovers!

So here's the class photo of Friday, June 12. Nigel put a little hat on Jones, sitting in the chair... LOL. She doesn't even mind it. :-)

Pretty cute dogs in here today. I've been laughing a lot... So many of the littl'uns have been pairing up and doing these hilarious pounce/tail wag/chase routines. I wonder if they're learning some of the same moves from each other.

So all the dogs have had their morning walks. Scroll down to see what your dog has been up to:

* Bella (Maltese) has been playing with little Mika (chihuahua), doing this pounce/chase dance I was talking about earlier. It's funny because Mika is pretty picky about who she plays with - she likes the littl'uns who she knows won't beat her up. Wish I had a video of these two going at it.

* Lexy (Chihuahua/Silky Terrier) looooves Buttons (cockapoo). She prances up to her, her butt shaking so fast, and gives Buttons all these wet kisses on her nose. Buttons doesn't mind. Yesterday when I took them out for a potty break together, Buttons plopped down in the cool grass, and Lexy used the opportunity to race up to her and smother her with kisses. And the love continued today, when Buttons planted some kisses on Sebastian (miniature poodle).

* Scooby (American cocker spaniel - pictured left) was playing lots with Jones (Bischon) this morning. He got picked up early so we didn't have a chance to feed him lunch. But before he left, he also had a match of tug-of-war with LG (Yorkie-shih tzu).

* Both Spike (Yorkie) and LG have been chasing the ball and playing with Jones. Yesterday, Spike made a new buddy - Yuki. They had a hilarious game going of spinning in circles and then pouncing at each other. Now more on Jones (in the hat!). She has also been playing with Lexy, Bobo (maltipoo), Rico (pug-cross), and chasing Heidi (shnoodle).

* Speaking of Heidi, she loved her morning walk with Pat and Jones. When she came back, she started kissing Dawson, and right this minute is chasing Rico and Sebastian (miniature poodle) around the room. Sebastian has been really playful today, and all week, actually.

* Oh man, Tonka (miniature dachshund) hasn't been her for a while, but he's certainly making up for lost time. He loooooves Jones (Bischon) and has been doing this funny ramming game, running full-throttle into her, and then slamming into her with his back or his butt (not hard). That's one of the reasons I've been laughing so hard!

* Rico (pug-Havanese) has been playing gentle with little Dawson (chihuahua) and Ozzy (Min Pin). He's also been chasing after the ball, and wrestling Heidi (shnoodle) and Bobo (maltipoo). Bobo has been super cuddly with the humans, and blasting around the place with Heidi and Lexy.

* Dawson (chihuahua) is friends with everyone here. Little Miss Popular! Yesterday she was sitting on my lap next to Mika (chihuahua), licking her face. And today she cuddled up to Ozzy (Min Pin) chewing his ear. Ozzy made a beeline for her when he arrived, shuffling other dogs out of the way to play with her. Both Dawson and Ozzy have also been playing with Rico (pug-cross).

* Snoopy has been taking it easy. He's been slowing down on his walks but enjoys doing lots of sniffing the grass. He likes stretching out on the dog beds or in the cool caves in the back room to catch some zzzz's.

* Mico (shih tzu) had a cute burst of energy this morning when Pat was playing ball with the pack. She did a little excited pounce and chased after Scooby and the ball for a bit. She gets along great with everyone.

June 11: Chihuahua & Min Pin power!

We've got a little gang of chihuahuas and Min Pins in the daycare today, ruling the roost. As for chihuahuas, there's Mika, Chico, Umber, Dawson and Lexy (cross). And then there's the little Min Pins: Ozzy, Molly and Peanut.

It's been a busy morning. The first round of walks are done and the lunches took longer than normal. After typing this blog we'll do more walks! So this is what's been going on so far:

* Yukie (Papillon) is chasing Molly (Min Pin) and Umber (chi). He's been running around with the chi-Min Pin pack. Molly's been chasing her friends, chasing the ball, chase, chase, chase... Tonka (miniature dachshund) has also been in there, chasing Umber and playing lots with Jones (Bischon).

* Little Umber's best buds are Dawson, Yuki, Molly and Chico. Chico is the new little chihuahua with a leopard-like print. He's pretty brave for a little pup and looooves playing with Dawson and Umber. Speaking of Dawson, she's been wrestling Umber and Ozzy (Min Pin) all morning. Ozzy has also been tackling Molly. They're one big happy family.

* Also playing in the Min Pin-chi pack are Milky (Bischon/poodle), who especially likes Molly, and Emmi (Italian Greyhound), who's been chasing Chico and Jones (Bischon) around with those long legs, pouncing at them! Even Peanut (Min Pin), who can be a little reserved, has been playing with the littl'uns today - chasing Molly and Dawson around.

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) has bee playing lots with his GF Milky. That goes without saying... they're so happy together. :-)

* Jones has also been chasing after the ball and running around with the Min Pin-chi pack. Max (Yorkie) is right in there as well. He was a little shy at first and received a warm welcome from all of his friends who haven't seen him for a while. And in no time, he was out there, playing with Jones!

* Buttons has been mingling with the pack, chumming up to Snoopy, just taking it easy. Poor Snoopy got lots of love from Bechler (Boston Terrier) when he arrived. All the dogs loooove Snoops. Right now he and Buttons are relaxing on the dog blankets, not sleeping, but enjoying the show.

* In the small room, Emma (miniature dachshund) is relaxing her sore back right now with her buddies Mika and Lexy, who are tired after zooming around in the big room earlier. We didn't take Emma out for a walk today because her back's really bugging her.

* Marley was playing with Spike and LG for a while, and then ditched them to play chase with Mika and Lexy. Spike joined in, chasing Lexy and Marley around, and LG diverted to tackle Bechler to the ground by taking him out by the legs. Sounds like an action flick, eh?

* When Bechler arrived, he launched into play mode, 0 to 100 in 6 seconds! He's been burning around the place with Spike & LG. Also running around super fast are Jasper and Casper. The boys have been running around, Casper pulling on Jasper's tail, running all over the ramps and chasing after the ball.

June 10: It's Spaw Day

We're having a really busy day with daycare and grooming, and the sun is shining... so I'm going to combine the report cards today into groups, rather than individual reports, so I can get outside quicker and do some more dog walks.

Round one is already done but there are a lot of dogs and we like to take them out as often as possible.

So this is what's been happening so far this morning:

* Rico (pug-Havanese) has been chasing Gus (American cocker spaniel) and Lola (cockapoo) around the room, and all over the ramps in the back room. Lola is now in the Spaw, getting her hair cut. Spike (Yorkie) and LG (Yorkie-shih tzu) joined in on the chasing game! Rico was also giving Dawson, the chihuahua puppy, kisses. Gus has been blasting around with Rico and Ozzy (Min Pin), and playing with tiny Dawson (chi) and Tonka (miniature dachshund). We haven't seen Tonka for ages - he's been so happy, running around, saying hello to all of his friends! He especially likes wrestling Heidi (shnoodle).

* Also playing chase are brothers Jasper, Casper (Coton du Tulear) with Heidi (schnoodle) and Jude (puggle - pictured right). They've been blasting around the rooms, climbing the ramps and playing hide-and-seek in the caves. Heidi has also wrestling lots with Rico, LG and Tonka.

* A funny sight? Seeing Dawson the tiny chihuahua trying to play tug of war with "big" (in comparison) Gus and Rico. She's also been wrestling Ozzy (Min Pin). Ozzy has been playing lots with Gus. You know who's also been chasing Gus around a lot today? Sebastian! (miniature poodle). He tends to play with the same dogs all the time: his fav's are Milky and Gus.

* Chilling out right now on the blankets are: Buttons (cockapoo), Maggie (Cairns Terrier - pictured right) and Snoopy (cocker spaniel-cross). They have a laidback pack going on, mingling with the other dogs and following us humans around, but then retreating to the blankets for some down time. They all enjoyed their walks (Buttons and Snoopy took their walks nice 'n slow), and I'll take them out again around 2 p.m.

* Oliver the chihuahua has been playing with Bella (chi-Jack Russell - pictured left with Dawson), and running around with so much confidence. Little Bella has quite the fiesty attitude. If a dog she doesn't like comes near, she'll tell 'em. But she really likes Oliver and Daisy (shih tzu puppy), and was playing with them on the back ramps. Daisy was a very good girl getting her bath. She's in the Spaw right now getting groomed, and she's a little nervous with the clippers, but she's doing great and Maori (the groomer) is very gentle. Daisy loves playing with Bella and Oliver. She also really likes Hugo and Rosita (both shih tzu). Maybe she looks up to Rosita as the cool, older sister. "Ah, sigh, I want to be like you when I grow up..." Rosita likes Daisy, too. Hugo loooves Daisy - she's his new buddy!

* Bailey and Charlie are fascinated by the new girl, Tiffany (maltese/shih tzu). Tiffany spent the morning in the Spaw, getting glamorous, and when she emerged, the boys went up to her to sniff, wag their tails, and make her feel welcome. Bailey, especially, loves her! It's Tiffany's first day so she was (understandably) a little timid at first. She's very submissive and friendly, but definitely could use more socialization around other dogs to gain her confidence. She's a little sweetheart (just ask Bailey!).

June 9: Learning their A, B, C's... (kinda)

We've got a few distinct packs in here today. It's basically divided like this:

A) There's the "bigger" kids playing chase in zoomies around the room. This often involves diving head-first into dog beds, chasing each other over the ramps in the back room, and lots of rolling around on blankets, wrestling.
B) The chihuahuas/smaller pups playing wrestle, with more one-on-one interaction and less rambunctious chasing.
C) The laidback crew mingling with the pack now and again, getting lots of human attention, and chilling on the dog beds or blankets.

No, the letters have nothing to do with grades! LOL.

You can probably already be able to guess which category your dog will fall into. Let's take a look.

* So Spike and LG, the Yorkie and Yorkie-cross brothers, definitely have been rolling and screaming around with the "A" crowd. They've been chasing Marley (Havanese) and Winston (beagle-cross) all morning.

* Yuki (Papillon) actually bounces between two packs - both the A's and the B's. He doesn't do much resting (that's the C's) until the late afternoon when he's all run out. This morning he's been wrestling Molly (Min Pin cross), Katie (Sheltie) and Umber (chihuahua). He ate all his breakfast.

* Brothers Jasper and Casper (Coton du Tulear) are a little tag-team, much like their buddies Spike and LG. J & C are definitely members of the A pack, blasting around this morning with each other, Winston and Milky (Bischon/poodle). They ate all of their lunch.

* Molly (Min Pin cross) is a lot like Yuki, in that she likes to play with everybody, no matter what size or energy level. In fact, Yuki is one of her best buds. Her tail was wagging so fast, it was like a deadly little whip, striking the wall! She ate all of her lunch.

* Marley (Havanese) is part of the A pack, chasing after the ball with Winston and Katie. She also dabbles with friends in the B pack, especially when it comes to wrestling Mika (chihuahua).

* Winston (beagle-King Charles Cavalier) has been zooming around with the A pack - especially wrestling with LG, Marley and Lady. How do you like this photo to the left of Winny with his best bud, LG?

* Buttons (cockapoo) is probably the queen leader of the C pack. She likes to mingle with the dogs and give te humans here lots of affection, but she likes her quiet time, too... and has her favourite spot on the bottom rung of the shelf where she likes to curl up, on a blanket, and watch the show. She ate all of her lunch.

* Umber (chihuahua) fits perfectly into the B pack. She's a little playing machine now! She went straight for Yuki (Papillon puppy) when he got here, and they've been going at it for ages. She's getting pretty confident now and even plays with some of the "bigger" kids like Katie (Sheltie). She loooves Molly, too.

* Let's do Katie (Sheltie) next. She's such a sweetie, with such a gentle, friendly personality. She loves to chase after the ball, and today has been doing lots of wrestling with Yuki (Papillon), Marley (Havanese), Umber (chihuahua), and Maximus (that's the two of them pictured left). She plays with both the A and B packs.

* Ozzy (Min Pin) made a new best buddy today called Maximus (Yorkie). They've been wrestling and kissing and chasing each other around. B pack, all the way. Ozzy ate his lunch.

* Enid (Jack Russell) loves her walks and likes to hang with the pack, but tends to stay out of the hyperactive A pack. She's definitely part of the C-crew, doing her mingling, but then relaxing on the bed. She's always really well-behaved.

* Oliver (chihuahua) has really come out of his shell, playing with his B-pack buddies - mostly Yuki (Papillon) and Umber (chihuahua). Check out this action shot to the left of him wrestling Umber!

* Emma (miniature dachshund) is relaxing in the small room with Mika (chihuahua). She has a sore back so she has to take it easy (C pack). Nigel's written on our notes that she's been a "very good girl." She went for a really easy walk with Pat and Bobo (maltipoo).

* Lady (puggle, pictured left) was happy to arrive and say hi to all of her friends. She went up to Buttons and gave her kisses. She's been chasing around her friends in the A pack - especially LG, Winston and Marley.

* Milky (Bischon/poodle) has been squirming around, wagging her tail like crazy all day. She's been wrestling Sebastian (miniature poodle), Casper and Molly, playing between both the A & B packs. She ate most of her lunch.

* Maximus (Yorkie) jumps between the A and B packs, chasing after the ball with Katie, Casper, Spike and LG, and wrestling with Bobo (maltipoo) and Ozzy (Min Pin).

* Bobo (maltipoo) has been playing lots with Maximus and Milky this morning, definitely part of the B pack. He also likes Sebastian, and often likes to relax with the C-pack in the afternoons. He wasn't hungry for his lunch today.

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) normally hangs out with the C pack, but today he's really doing a lot of mingling and playing with the B pack. He's been wrestling his girlfriend Milky (Bischon/poodle) and his new buddy, Maximus (Yorkie). He ate half of his lunch.

So all the morning walks have been done, and lunches fed, which means we have the afternoon to do more walks and games. Ahh... this is the best job.

June 8: Ruff life

Hope you all had a great weekend! We took our dogs, and Frankie - who we were boarding - for a long walk around Stanley Park on Saturday.

This weekend coming? Camping! Our chihuahuas can pretend their wild dogs and run through the woods, kicking up dirt and chasing sticks. Can't wait.

The temperature has cooled off a bit today but at least it's not raining. The morning walks are done and the pups are just finishing their lunches. We'll do some more walks around 2 p.m. Here's what's been going on so far:

* Frankie (Boston Terrier-cross) was thrilled to see his parents this morning when they came back, all tanned and newly married, from their trip to Hawaii. Hope to see ya soon, Frankie!

* Buttons (cockapoo) has been chilling with Sebastian (miniature poodle) on the blankets. She ate all of her lunch. Look at her sitting pretty in the group photo, with Sebastian directly behind her (to the left) and Gus with his tongue out to the right. :-)

* Molly (Min Pin cross) has been doing some high-energy wrestling with Dawson (chihuahua) and Ozzy (Min Pin). Love the action photos Nigel took. She's also been playing a lot with Gus (American cocker spaniel). Molly was really hungry for lunch.

* Gus unleashed his energy on the pack this morning, chasing his buddy Bechler (Boston Terrier) and playing tug-of-war with the rope toys. He's also been wrestling Molly and Ozzy, and just ate all of his lunch. That's him, pictured right. :-)

* Next I have to mention Bechler (Boston Terrier, pictured left), who's been inseparable from Gus all morning. He's also been chasing Spike and LG.

* Jasper and Casper have been burning around the daycare this morning, chasing Heidi (shnoodle) super fast. Spike, LG and Pepe also joined in on the chase game, all over the back ramps. Looks like today is bath day for the boys. Nigel will have them sparkling white. They don't have any kibble left here so we didn't feed them lunch.

* Dawson (chihuahua) was really hungry today and gobbled up all her food. She's been playing with her best buds, Molly (Min Pin cross), Ozzy (Min Pin) and Mika (chi), and was giving Emma (miniature dachshund) kisses on their walk. Love the action shots of her and Molly.

* Spike and LG have been chasing Gus, Bechler, Heidi, Jasper and Casper all around the daycare. LG has been especially rambunctious, playing tug of war and wrestling Bechler and Gus.

* Emma (miniature dachshund) has a sore back so unfortunately she can't be in the big room with all the other dogs. She looooves her toys but has to take it easy right now, so we've been paying her visits and right now she's lounging on the dog bed. Pat too her for a really light, easy walk with Dawson (tiny chihuahua puppy) - and they were giving each other kisses!

* Boy, all the dogs were really hungry today for lunch. Everyone ate, which is kind of unusual. Ozzy (Min Pin) just ate quite a lot of his kibble, after spending the morning wrestling his GFs Molly and Dawson, and teasing Gus with a run/chase/pounce routine.

* Pepe (Havanese) was playing chase this morning with Spike, LG, Heidi, Jasper and Casper all around the back room. Other than that burst of energy, he's been pretty laidback, hanging out with the pack.

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) has a new companion - Gus! The two of them were playing this morning. Right now he's relaxing next to Buttons on the blanket, and he ate half of his lunch.

* Heidi (shnoodle) has lots of energy and has been running around with the pack, playing chase with Jasper and Casper (Coton du Tulear), and wrestling Bechler (Boston Terrier). I'm just about to take her out for a walk with Mika and Lexy, who've just arrived.

June 5: Happy Friday

For those of you who haven't seen the back room, we've got these cool ramps and caves that Nigel built that the dogs like climbing all over. Our models of the day are kindly modelling the structure:

The morning walks have been done, lunches are fed, and the pups have been running around all morning, so they're beginning to slow down a bit. So here's what your dog has been up to:

* Bechler (Boston Terrier) has been chasing LG and Frankie around the place - and yes, all over these red ramps. They especially like playing tug of war with the rope toys and basically just zooming from room to room as fast as they can. Bechler's also bee wrestling both the boys.

* Spike and LG have also been doing a lot of running around on the ramps, and chasing after the ball. They've especially been playing with Bechler, Frankie and Yuki (Papillon).

* Frankie is a Boston Terrier-cross. He has a fairly timid personality, very cuddly, and not as outgoing as some of the other Bostons that come here. He's playful though and has had a blast chasing his friends around, and looooves going for walks. He's been staying with us for boarding this past while as his parents got married in Hawaii! Congratulations to the newlyweds!

* Yuki was playing lots with Frankie this morning, and right now is chasing Henrik (chihuahua) and Heidi (shnoodle) around. He's also been playing lots with Bobo (maltipoo) and ate all of his breakfast.

* Buttons had a funny energy spurt on her walk today. She came across this patch of long grass and just pounced into it, getting all frisky and flicking it up in the air. Pat says, maybe it was tickling her or something? In any case, it was cute. Buttons just ate all her lunch and is mingling with the pack.

* Sheraz (miniature schnauzer) enjoyed her walk this morning with Pat and Bechler. She's a very good girl and always so well behaved. She gets along with all the dogs but pretty much sticks to herself and chills out. We take her out for extra walks because she loves going outside.

* Mico has a laidback personality, a lot like Sheraz (above). We saw her do a little playful pounce and chase with Lexy (chihuahua/Silky terrier) today. That was cute :-)

* Heidi (shnoodle) has been playing tug of war with Frankie, chasing Bobo, and pouncing at/playing with little Dawson. She ate all of her lunch. Oh - and right now she's chasing Bechler!

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) ate most of his lunch. He's been having a pretty mellow morning, actually. After I type this, I'm taking Sebastian and Bobo for a walk outside. Looks like the clouds are rolling in, but it's still warm!

* Bobo (maltipoo) has been ripping around the place since he arrived, playing with Heidi, Henrik and Yuki. He ate all of his lunch. I'm just about to take him out for a walk with Sebastian, and we'll do more walks this afternoon (making the most of the weather).

* Dawson (chihuahua) made a new chihuahua friend called Henrik. Check out the photo below! Both dogs are really social and love to play with all dogs, but they've certainly bonded together, too. Dawson ate quite a lot for lunch.

* Henrik (chihuahua) loooooves Dawson, even giving her kisses on her faces. He's also been beating up Bechler, which is pretty funny - seeing a little chihuahua tackle a Boston Terrier. It's all play though, of course. He's also been chasing Bobo the maltipoo around. Getting his exercise...

* There's a cool event coming up on June 20th called Chip's Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile. It's a one mile walk/run up West 10th Ave in Vancouver with a beer garden and entertainment following the race.

But the best part is the Pooch Parade! Owners can bring their dogs and run or walk the race, and dogs are allowed in the beer garden afterwards. It's a fundraiser for the BC Children's Hospital. For more info, visit http://www.chipsnotdeadyet.com/

* Also, we've made a few changes here at the daycare that I should point out. First of all, you'll notice all the report cards are being posted online on this Dog Blog from now on. We've had good feedback that owners like to read not only what their dog has been up to during the day - but everyone else's too. So make sure you check the blog each day at around 2 p.m. If it's a busy day, it may take us until 3 p.m. to update.

* Secondly, a point involving photos. Please note that dogs that arrive after 12 noon may not have their photo taken, as we take all the pictures in the morning (the group photo is usually shot at around 10:30 - 11 a.m.). Sorry about this - we have a tight schedule/routine involving feeding, potty breaks, walks and lunches so we often run out of time in the afternoon to take and send additional photos. June 4: Nigel, Kat & Pat plus 27

I'm sure you've all heard of Jon and Kate + 8. I think they should do a show about us... Nigel, Kat & Pat plus 27! Yes, plenty of adventures here every day, minus the screaming kids (so far, anyway). LOL.

We have a new chihuahua here today called Chico, and he has the coolest tabby-like (leopard) colouring. He's tiny and has been chumming up to the other tiny Chihuahua puppy, Dawson. That's the two of them in the main photo at the top.

So the morning walks and lunches have just been done, and now we're back to playtime! Oh yes, and more walks this afternoon in the sun (a little shorter than usual, but more of them).

Here's what your dog has been up to so far:

* We'll start with Chico, the new leopard-coloured chihuahua puppy. It's his first day, and he started out in the small room with a few of the littl'uns. He's absolutely adorable and very brave, playing with all the dogs - especially Dawson, the equally tiny chihuahua puppy. Chico ate a little lunch and even did a pee outside on his walk.

* Next is Dawson, who's been attached to the hip to Chico all morning. She's also part of the "littl'uns" pack, including Umber (another adorable chihuahua puppy), Molly (Min Pin cross) and Yuki (Papillon puppy). She liked her lunch and enjoyed her walk with Pat and Chico.

* Umber (chi) is also part of the "littl'uns" pack. She just looooves Dawson and I bet she'll have a blast with Chico, too. She's also been wrestling Molly and Yuki (read the blurbs above for more). She loved her walk outside with Pat and Ozzy (Min Pin).

* Yuki (Papillon) adores Umber (chihuahua). The two have been wrestle partners all morning, playing chase and rolling around on the dog beds. He ate all of his breakfast.

* Molly (Min Pin cross) was letting little Dawson beat her up this morning (gently, of course). She's also been wrestling lots with Milky (Bichon/poodle). She just gobbled up her lunch.

* As you see above, Milky has been running around gung-ho, playing lots with Molly. But that's not all... she's been wrestling Ozzy (Min Pin) and Dawson (chi) and, of course, Sebastian (he adores her). She ate all of her lunch.

* So Ozzy (Min Pin) has been amusing us today with his new "Vampire" manoevre. When playing, he's been going for the jugular... to suck some blood.... no, just kidding. It's all play but very funny seeing him tackle dogs in a Dracula-like lunge. Again, he wasn't too interested in his lunch. I think he's getting kibble fatigue. We'll try feeding him again in a couple of hours.

* Mika (Maltese) is still fairly shy, but each time she comes to daycare, she gets braver. Today her best buddy is Milky (Bichon/poodle). They even look similar - two little white dogs, buddying up together! Mika ate a little of her lunch and enjoyed her walk with Pat and her buddy, Milky. :-)

* Theodore (toy Yorkie) just arrived and he made a lunge straight for the ball. We're playing fetch with him and a few of the other dogs, all chasing after it. Update: We took the ball away so he'd start playing with other dogs (it worked). Then I took him for a little walk with Sasha - they had a run through the grass, chasing each other on the leash.

* Frankie (Boston Terrier) likes chasing after the ball and playing with the toys. He's battling Theodore (Yorkie) and Casper (Coton du Tulear) right now to get to the ball first! He's been eating well and playing lots.

* Buttons (cockapoo) was curious about the new puppy, Chico, and went up to him to sniff hello. She always likes the little, quiet ones, so I think they'll be good buddies! She got very excited at lunch time again (as always) and licked her bowl clean.

* Spike and LG look very handsome with their new hair cuts. I think Marley (Havanese) has a crush on the two of them, chasing them around. The boys have also been wrestling with Charlie (maltipoo).

* Marley, as you've read above, just loves Spike and LG. They're like kids in the schoolyard, playing tag. She's also been play-attacking her bestest buddy, Mika.

* Great to see Lady (puggle) again! She hasn't been here for a while so there were lots of new faces to sniff. She's been running around, playing chase with Jasper, Casper, Spike and LG. At this moment, she's wrestling Charlie (maltipoo).

* Jasper and Casper have been playing their favourite game - getting other dogs rounded up for a game of super-speed chase from room to room, and zooming all over the ramps in the back. They managed to recruit LG, Lady and Charlie for their chase game. Casper's also been wrestling Molly (Min Pin cross), and chasing after the ball. The boys are out of kibble here for their lunches.

* It's funny how some dogs love to soak up the sunshine, and others like to hide out in the back on the cool concrete. It's air conditioned in here but those fur coats must keep them pretty toasty! So hanging out together back there at this moment are Hugo (shih tzu), his buddy Rosita (also a shih tzu), Maggie (Cairns Terrier) and Sheraz (miniature shnauzer). It's nice and cool and quiet back there, and this pack have been buddying up together. They've all been out for their morning walks and we'll take them out again, but for shorter jaunts due to the temperature.

* Charlie (maltipoo) has been in play mode all morning, playing pounce with Umber (chihuahua puppy) and chasing Jasper and Casper all around the back ramps. At the moment, he's wrestling Lady (puggle). Charlie was really hungry for lunch today - he ate about a 1/2 cup of kibble.

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) was thrilled to see Milky here again, and has been playing lots with her. Love is in the air... Sebastian ate half of his kibble.

* Sasha (Papillon) was greeted straight away by her new buddy, Yuki. They were hanging out for a while, and then Sasha went up to Umber and they were chasing each other around. I just took Sasha and Theodore out for a walk together and Sasha was trying to chase after these little birds.

* Rolo (pug) has been chasing his friends around and saying hello to everyone. I just took him out for a little walk - loving this sunshine! He's been playing with Molly (Min Pin), the energizer doggie, while many of the other pups have been fading out... they're looking pretty tired!

June 3: Relaxing in the Spaw... it's a dog's life

You guessed it - Wednesday is Spaw day! And we've got a full house in the back room for grooming again this week. Remember to call ahead if you want to book your dog in for grooming. We have a few spaces left for next Weds (June 10).

The morning walks have been done, lunches have been fed (16 lunches today - a new record!), and after I finish this blog I'll be taking the dogs out again. Love this weather! Any excuse to get outside...

So what has your littl'un been up to this morning? We should also explain that this is by no means a full list - just some highlights and observations that we jot down on a daily registration sheet each morning. Here's what we've got so far:

* It was super cute seeing Dawson (chihuahua) climb up to Ozzy (Min Pin)'s face when he arrived, putting her paws around his snout and giving him kisses. They're the best of friends. She just ate her lunch (polished off about half the tupperware container so far). She's also been playing with the yellow ball and getting Gus (American cocker spaniel) to chase her. Oh - and she did a #2 outside on her walk. Hurrah!

* Next is Ozzy, who I just mentioned above. He just arrived a few minutes ago and I tried feeding him but he was way too excited to eat lunch. We'll try him again in an hour or so. He's been blasting around with Molly and Dawson, and chasing Gus (Am'n cocker spaniel).

* I fed Buttons (cockapoo0) her lunch first (she gets soooo excited), and then when Pat was finished helping Maori in the back room, she came up to take over. Well, Buttons thought it was lunch time all over again and started squealing like crazy and tried to break into the feeding room. It was hilarious...

* Scooby has been playing lots with his blonde American cocker spaniel buddy, Gus. He just gobbled up his lunch. And he did a funny thing on his walk today - he was so interested in sniffing the ground, getting really into it while walking along, he head-butted a pole (walked straight into it!). It's okay Scoobs, we've all been there. :-)

* Gus (Am'n cocker spaniel) is getting along great with Scooby (check out the photo to the left of the two of them together!). He's also been wrestling with Rico (pug-cross) and playing tug of war with Molly (Min Pin). He also loooooves little Dawson the chihuahua - they had a cute game of chase going on. Gus ate all of his lunch.

* Yuki (Papillon) wasn't hungry for breakfast so we just tried feeding him now and he ate his lunch. I think he's too excited in the morning to eat. He made a new friend today called Bella (Jack Russell-chihuahua) and the two of them have been playing like crazy. He's also been chasing/pouncing all over Rico (pug-cross).

* This leads me to Bella. She's only been to daycare a few times so she's still pretty new, but each time she gets more confident and makes more friends. Today she's especially been chumming up to Yuki (read above for more) and Lui Lui (also a Jack Russell-chi). She had a good appetite for lunch.

* Frankie (Boston Terrier) wasn't hungry for breakfast but we just tried feeding him at lunch and he gobbled it all up. He's been doing lots of running around and playing, and is very quiet and obedient at home.

* Brothers Jasper and Casper have been chasing Heidi (shnoodle) all over the ramps in the back room. They just ate all of their lunch. Casper's also been doing his spin/dance with Rico (pug cross). Jasper is going through a funny, timid stage of trying to get through his walks as quickly as possible - crouching really close to the ground, claws dug in, and pulling the leash. Not sure why he's doing this but we're hoping he'll grow out of it.

* Great to see Rico (pug-Havanese) again! He's been burning around the place with Gus (American cocker spaniel), playing chase and wrestling, and has been cuddling up to Yuki (Papillon puppy). He was in the Spaw for a few minutes getting his nails trimmed.

* Molly (Min Pin cross) has been chasing big Gus (well, big in comparison to her!), and tackling him with some pretty impressive moves. She's also been playing with Ozzy and Dawson and just ate her lunch.

* Spike and LG spent much of the morning getting bathed, and clipped, in the Spaw. They now look dashing and smell deeee-licious. Not good enough to eat though. They're out now, blasting around with the other dogs.

* Mika (Maltese) is getting more adventurous each time she visits. This time, she was running around on the back ramps with a bunch of the dogs. She's still pretty timid though and tends to stick with the calmer, smaller, more laidback dogs. She didn't eat her lunch.

* Tuka (American cocker spaniel) was right in the heart of the action again this morning, plopping himself down on the cool concrete and watching all the hyper dogs run circles around him!

* Lui Lui (Jack Russell-chi) has been hanging out with her mini-me, Bella. We haven't seen her do any playing yet this morning, but she tends to break out the dance and pounce moves in the afternoon. She wasn't interested in eating her kibble for lunch.

* Daisy (shih tzu puppy) was full of energy this morning, playing lots with Bella (chihuahua-cross) and chasing Sebastian (miniature poodle). Nigel has written on the sheet: "Very playful and friendly, lots of energy." Right now she's actually relaxing on a blanket, cuddled up to Sebastian. She wasn't hungry for lunch.

* Mico (shih tzu) was very curious about Daisy, giving her sniffs. She was in the Spaw this morning, getting groomed, and now looks and smells fabulously. Right now she's mingling with all the dogs.

* Sebastian made a new friend today called Daisy (read above for more). I think he's in loooove. He's been chasing her around and right now they are cuddled up together on a blanket. He didn't eat his lunch.

* How do you like this photo of Heidi (shnoodle) and Molly? Hilarious! She also tackled Casper (Coton du Tulear) with an unsuspected pounce, knocking him to the ground.

* And let's not forget Snoopy, who's in the Spaw right now getting groomed. He enjoyed his bath, just relaxing and enjoying getting pampered. We just fed him lunch - boy, oh boy, his meals sure make the other dogs jealous! He wasn't interested in it though.

June 2: Birthday paw-ty for Charlie!

Happy Birthday Charlie!

As you can see, he loved his birthday cake from the dog bakery... mmm... "Thanks mum!"

Boy, it's hot out there. We have to be careful on the walks that the dogs don't overheat. It's nice and cool in here though, with the fans and air-con cranked.

So what's your dog been up to?

* Let's start with Charlie (shih tzu), who is celebrating his birthday with all of his friends. He loved his cake and has been playing games and sat nicely for the group photo. Scroll down to the bottom of the blog to see the group photo of him with all his friends! We have burned a CD with all the photos of him at the Paw-ty for his family to get a chuckle out of...

* Scooby (American cocker spaniel) has been playing tug of war with Molly and chasing Bobo (maltipoo) and Frankie (Boston Terrier). He ate all of his lunch.

* Yuki (Papillon) was thrilled to see Umber (chihuahua). Pat was holding Umber to greet her hello, and Yuki sat at Pat's feet, waiting and staring up, pleading "Let her down! I want to play!" And then they were off... wrestling and chasing each other around. He's also been playing with Maggie (toy poodle), who he hasn't met before. Yuki wasn't hungry for breakfast but just ate now (lunch).

* This leads us to Umber, who's been pouncing on Yuki (see above for more) and playing with Oliver (chihuahua) and Maggie (toy poodle). She likes wrestling with the littl'uns. That's Yuki and Umber playing in the photo to the left.

* Maggie (toy poodle) has also been part of the Yuki-Umber pack this morning (read above two blurbs). She ate a little bit of her lunch.

* Buttons (cockapoo) loooooved the doggie birthday cake. We only divvy out small pieces, so don't worry - it wasn't a calorie binge! She also ate all of her lunch. Pat took her out for her morning walk quite early, before it got hot, so did get some exercise. The afternoon walks will be quite short (too hot for the pups!).

* Frankie (Boston Terrier) has been playing with Scooby, and just running around with the pack. He's having a fun time with all the dogs, and getting lots of exercise. Nigel gave him a bath yesterday so now he smells like green apple. Ahhh...

* Marley (Havanese) was blasting around the daycare this morning at full speed, chasing Winston (beagle-cross) and wrestling Molly (Min Pin cross), not to mention best buddies Spike and LG! Her BFF Mika is coming down in an hour too.

* Spike and LG have been playing tag-team with Winston (beagle-cross), playing chase and diving head-first into the dog beds for hyperactive wrestle matches. Marley's been joining in, too, so they have this big pack of brown and white fur flying fast...

* Jude's (puggle) girlfriend is here - Yep, you guessed it: Molly (Min Pin-cross)! Jude must be at least six times her size, so it's cute to see them two of them wrestle. He's really gentle with her - and all the other dogs. He's also been playing with Winston and Scooby. Jude ate all of his breakfast.

* Winston's best buds are Spike and LG (read their blurb for more), Jude and Marley (read her blurb above). He's been having a great day, wrestling and playing chase super fast.

* Molly (Min Pin cross) has been burning around the place with everyone. Seriously. She's been wrestling Jude, Ozzy, Milky, Maggie (Cairns Terrier), Scooby... um, everyone. She always has a super time here! She was hungry for lunch, too.

* We have two Maggie's here today. Now I'm going to write about Maggie the Cairns Terrier. She's been having a fun day with her friends at the birthday paw-ty. Maybe it reminds her of her 2nd birthday just a couple months ago. Her best friend today is Molly the Min Pin cross - they've been wrestling lots this morning.

* Ozzy (Min Pin) is missing his buddy Dawson. "Dawson, where for 'art thou?" Well don't worry - he's making due, playing wrestle with Molly (pictured left). He just ate his lunch.

* Milky (Bischon/poodle) has been a blur of white fur, bombing around with two of her white puppy friends - Bobo (maltipoo) and Sebastian (miniature poodle). She's also been wrestling lots with Molly, and ate all of her lunch.

* Enid was hilarious on her walk this morning. Not only did she crawl under the bush to cool down, but she was rolling around in the grass under there. That was before it got too hot out, but we all know dogs love the cool ground. She's been running around with the pack and right now is chilling in the orange bed, watching the Small Paws Daycare Show.

* Oliver (chihuahua) is getting so much braver. We're so proud of him. He's been playing with Maggie (toy poodle) and Umber (chihuahua). He looks a lot like our dog, Lexy (chihuahua-Silky Terrier cross), and turns out the two of them are becoming quite good buddies, too. Yay.

* Sebastian was sooooo happy to see his girlfriend, Milky here. Seriously, he springs to life when she comes through the yellow gates. They've been pouncing around and having the best of times. He wasn't hungry for lunch.

* Bobo (maltipoo) has been part of the Milky-Sebastian pack, blasting around with his friends. He was also chasing Scooby (American cocker spaniel) and it was cute to see him give Milky a loving face wash... :-) He ate most of his lunch.

* Kujo (chihuahua) just arrived for an afternoon of playtime. He was super cute when he came in the door, all squirmy and excited. He's pretty confident, running around right now saying hello to all the dogs. Umber (chihuahua) is really curious and following him around, as is Maggie (Cairns Terrier) and Oliver (chi).

June 1: Happy days at daycare

What's doggie daycare about, you ask? I'd say it's three parts playtime and socialization, and one part exercise. At the end of the day, your dog returns happy, tired out and better behaved.

Socialization with other dogs gives your pet the opportunity to learn how to behave around other dogs and humans so they don't grow up to be afraid or confrentational around them.

Best of all... they have fun! Just check out that grin on Bechler's face. :-)

As for today, the morning walks and lunches have been done. Scroll down to read a few of the highlights so far...

* Oliver the chihuahua has come leaps and bounds in the past week (literally). He started off being pretty shy around the other dogs, and today... he's been playing! Yay, Oliver! He was doing this pounce and chase game with Mika (chi) first, and then Bechler (Boston Terrier).

* Scooby's (American cocker spaniel) been doing a lot of butt-sniffing, as Nigel wrote down on our comment sheet. Hilarious! He's also been playing tug of war with Bechler (Boston Terrier) and chasing Frankie around. He ate all of his lunch.

* Mika (chi) just came back from the vet , getting all her shots. She's a bit of a wuss at the vet so now she's happily chewing on a chew treat.

* Buttons (cockapoo) leapt from her bed to greet me (Kat) with squeals of delight when I arrived. How's that for a warm hello? She's the best! She's being friendly with Lexy and Bailey today, and ate all of her lunch.

* Frankie (Boston Terrier) has been playing with Bechler (Boston) and Scooby (Am'n cocker spaniel). I took him for a long walk through Aldergrove park on Saturday with my folks and my two dogs. He loooooved it.

* Bailey and Charlie are full of beans today! Bailey (Yorkie-chi) has been wagging his tail and playing with Heidi (shnoodle) and Charlie (maltipoo). I'd forgotten what good friends Charlie (Pom-chi) and Charlie (maltipoo) are. They've been wrestling and playing chase all morning. Hurray!

* This brings me to the other Charlie (maltipoo). We were happy to see him again - it's been ages! - and he was thrilled to see his buddy Charlie (Pom-chi). Read the blurb above for more. I'll try to snap a photo of them together. :-) Charlie ate a little lunch.

* Spike and LG are ever the tag-team, running around, playing chase with each other and teaming up to play with other dogs. They were just chasing Charlie (maltipoo) and have been running around with Bechler (yep - tug of war, too).

* Ozzy (Min Pin) just ate his lunch. He was a little sad to see his girlfriend Dawson isn't here today, but she'll probably be back tomorrow. He's been playing with Scooby (American cocker spaniel) and Bechler - the big kids!

* Who hasn't Bechler (Boston Terrier) been playing with? I love the photo of him at the top of this blog... he's hilarous. He's been playing tug of war with LG, Frankie and Scooby, and chasing Oliver and Ozzy around. Fun, fun.

* Sebastian (miniature poodle) is having a pretty mellow morning. He's been mingling with the dogs but he hasn't been doing any high-energy playing. Yet. He enjoyed his walk but wasn't hungry for lunch.

* Heidi (shnoodle) received a celebrity welcome from Bechler when she arrived. She's been chasing Bechler, LG and Frankie this morning, just running around having a blast, a big grin on her furry face. She ate all of her lunch.

* Rolo (pug) is play tug of war with a rope toy and his buddy, Bechler, right now. We took him out for a walk in the sunshine and he was a good boy and did his business outside (as always). He arrived a little later in the afternoon so he's re-energized Scooby, Bechler and Heidi to get them to play with him.
