Jude is a great example to our new puppies.

When a puppy feelis like chewing on his leg, he simply gets up

and walks away, taking the peaceful approach.

Ho, ho, ho... Christmas is coming!

Can you believe it? Christmas is just around the corner...

Small Paws will remain open for most of the Christmas / New Year break. Please note we will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day (Jan 1).

We will also be closing early (at 6 p.m.) on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and New Year's Eve (Jan. 31).

Otherwise, we will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day as usual. More info regarding grooming will be coming soon... make sure you book ahead for your Spaw appointments - it's a busy time of year!

He loves to play fetch and is playing with everyone.

Taylor, Gus, Fiddi, and Heidi are especially fond of him.

We have a lot of energy here lately. There have been so many new puppies coming in that they have really energized some of our regular pups.

Her name is Hailey, she is only 4 months old and loves playing with everyone.

Oct. 30: Happy Howl'aween!

Wow, what a scary bunch... Of the 26 dogs at daycare today, 18 are dressed up in costume! All of the outfits are so great this year, it was hard for us to pick our favourites.

And the winners for best costume are:

1) Tied for first place are the Maltese puppy clan: Zipper (dressed as a pirate - pictured above), Sprokette (an adorable bumblebee), Peanut (a devil), and Muggles (a skunk). A big THANK YOU to their mom, Traci, for bringing in doggie treats for everyone.

2) Molly, the Min Pin cross, who has the coolest K9 police officer costume (pictured above), complete with handcuffs.

3) Jude, the puggle, who wins for most originality. He's dressed as an All Black rugby player from New Zealand. It was hard to capture this costume in a photograph so sorry if you can't make it out very well.

Runners-up... Taylor the fire chief and Rico the penguin.

Hello everyone!

Sorry about the delay in getting the blog up today. It's been an extra busy day, with a few new dogs, lots of playtime, dogs coming in and out of the Spaw, and WALKS!

All we can say is all the dogs have been very good boys and girls. Chase and tug-of-war have been the top games of the morning, and we're going to start the afternoon walks in a moment.

Happy Howl'aween Paw-ty this Friday!

Just a reminder that we're having a Howl'aween party for all the dogs that come to daycare.

Bring your pup in costume, if you've got one! It's not mandatory, of course, but we'll be taking photos and handing out treats for tricks.

The party (sorry - for dogs only) kicks off at 1 p.m., so check the blog in the afternoon for photos and more fun 'n games...
